Boy Questions: Learn How to Get the Boy

Dear BeingGirl Experts,

I am fourteen but I am in the 10th grade, and I have some boy questions. There is this new guy in my school that I totally have a crush on. I don't know how to approach him. He's held open the door for me before, that's about how close I've gotten to him. I'VE NEVER EVEN SPOKEN TO HIM BEFORE. How do I get him to notice me and get to know each other better?

Dear Maddie,

When you get a crush, even with the new guy at school, remember instead of telling him you like him, why don't you flirt and see how he responds? Saying "Hi" with a big smile is a first step in flirting. When he returns the “hi” and smile then you know you have his attention.

Once you have his attention you might consider starting the conversation with him. You can do this by looking for him at lunch to see if he needs someone to sit with. You might ask him about his schedule and who his teachers are. If he has classes or teachers you are familiar with you can start a conversation about school "stuff" or ask him questions that may be of interest to him. Asking a guy if he's interested in sports from the "player" or "watcher" point of view is a great way to start a conversation. You can tell him about school sports and activities. Hopefully, the conversation will move on from here.

By flirting with him you might spur him to think about the two of you being more. Try to be playful and enjoy trying to get to know him!

Uh, oh lol. I think I have a crush on my friends boyfriend.......what should I do? Next year I'm going to be in the same school with him maybe even the same grade if he fails like he said lol.HELP!!!!

Im 14 and a freshman. I have a really late birthday so everyone is way older than me. The guy i like has a brother in my brother's classes. they are all wrestlers and I am the wrestling manager. I like Alex, but he's a grade and a few months younger than me. is that awkward? The instant we met we connected, everytime we see eachother we have to smile, he does a ton of stuff to try to make me laugh, and i think his laugh is amazing! we hugged the 3rd time we met :) Do you think he may like me? he is coming to my school next year :D

well i like my brothers friend he is 17 and im almost 16. him and i go snowboarding all the time but i like him and i think he likes me i can tell but he sometimes flirts.... he comes over and helps me with math homework... how can i get him to go out with me??? like friends or on an actual date please anybody HELP!!

Dear football and soccor just be yourself and go with what your heart wants BUT dont just go with one guy because he hot you should look on whats in the inside not the outside ya i know sounds stupid but trust me looks wont get people far life so go with what your heart wants (p.s. i would go with the smart cuz then u could have study dates and things like that well goodluck honey)

@lexiscott the same thing is happening between me and my bf. he says that he feels like if he was betraying me because he hangs out more with his friends than me. but then at the same time his concience is like telling him to avoid me. and its kinda wierd. i mean i love him alot but idk if we gonna break up or not. the thing with me is that i play it cool and dont get obsessed with him bcuz if we do break up then i am gonna be in alot of pain. so i see wat happens.
